Homemade Kale Chips

Kale chips are so easy to make.  I have no idea why people buy them from the grocery store.  Kale chips are the fun, easy way to eat your greens and when you make them at home, you can season them however you like.  Here is what you will need:

  • Clean dry kale leaves
  • Olive oil (butter or oil of choice)
  • Salt, pepper and/or seasoning of choice

Here’s what you do:

1. Heat oven to 350

2. Hand tear kale leaves into bite sized pieces and place in a mixing bowl (throw stems into the compost bin)

3. Add salt and seasonings to 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil

4. Add olive to kale and coat thoroughly as though you are tossing a salad.

Next, spread the kale out evenly and in one layer on a baking sheet like this:

Bake for about 10 minutes or until nice and crispy.  They will look like this: wpid-20131112_212942.jpg

Enjoy your Kale chips.  (Crunches) mmmph, I put way too much salt on these…
